Pennies for Patients Week 2

At the end of our second week of the Pennies for Patients campaign, William Land students, families, and staff have raised over $600 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society! That means we raised an additional $200 this week. Thank you so much for everyone's participation, but we still have one more week to go and this is the final stretch! The Pennies for Patients campaign ends on Friday, February 24 and the primary and intermediate class that raises the most money will win a pizza party. In the lead, currently, is Mr. Wong's class for primary and Ms. Mora's class for intermediate. Now is the time to turn over those couch cushions, empty those changes jars, and and get every penny in before the deadline!

LegendARY Dinner

"If you could have dinner with anyone in the world, living or dead, who would it be and why?"

If I could go to dinner with anyone in the world, I would go to dinner with 2-Pac. I would go to dinner with 2-Pac because he is an idol, from his music to some of the actions that he has made. I'm pretty sure most of us know that 2-Pac's music is hecka tight but most people don't know about the actions he took to overcome violence.

For example, I am not sure you know this, but a long time ago, 2-Pac was part of a movement to bring peace between gangs. This helped protect kids from any violence on the streets. Though he had his own moments of violence, we all have times that we regret in the future. These are a few reasons I would go to dinner with 2-Pac.

Great job William Land students, staff, and families! Let's keep it up! Remember that the primary and intermediate class that raise the most amount of money will be awarded a pizza party at the end of the campaign. In the lead currently is Mr. Wong's class for primary and Ms. Padilla's class for intermediate. There is still a lot more time to gather donations. Remember, every penny counts!
